At Fredericksburg High School, we believe in guiding students to be the best version of themselves—and the INCubatoredu program brings that mission to life in a powerful, real-world way. INCubatoredu@FHS gives students the opportunity to become true entrepreneurs by developing their own product or service from the ground up. With guidance from experienced business professionals and educators, student teams learn how to take an idea through the full entrepreneurial journey—from concept to market research, to minimum viable product, and finally to an investor pitch.
This program is more than just a class. It’s an experience. Students engage in:
-
Hands-on problem solving
-
Real-world business practices
-
Team collaboration
-
Ongoing mentorship from local experts
Throughout the year, students learn and apply foundational business concepts like marketing, finance, and customer research—all within a structured curriculum based on the Lean Startup model. They present a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Pitch mid-year, and conclude with Pitch Week, where teams pitch their business to real investors for potential funding.
The program is also a powerful way to connect our local business community to the next generation of leaders. Coaches and mentors are essential to the success of the program, offering professional insight, support, and encouragement throughout the year.
Why it Matters

Get Involved
Fredericksburg ISD is proud to announce the launch of the INCubatoredu program at Fredericksburg High School, which was made possible by the support of our local community. Thanks to their generosity, $165,000 has been raised to provide students with a transformational, real-world entrepreneurial experience.
At Fredericksburg ISD, we are committed to guiding students to be the best version of themselves and to achieve unlimited potential. The INCubatoredu program brings that mission to life by equipping students with the skills, mindset, and mentorship needed to turn ideas into real businesses. Students will work in teams to create a product or service, conduct market research, develop a minimum viable product, and pitch to actual investors—all within a structured, hands-on environment.

We also want to extend a huge thank you to David Pedregon, who will serve as our Community Champion—connecting the Gillespie County business community, the INCubatoredu Board of Advisors, and our classroom, which will be led by Mr. Jason Roemer. His leadership will help build strong relationships that support and guide our students' entrepreneurial journeys.
Additionally, we are grateful to Mrs. Kristy Danz, the College and Career Advisor at FHS, for her tireless work in organizing efforts and securing support from our local partners.
Our staff and community are very excited to begin this journey. Mr. Roemer shared that the experiences our students will gain through INCubatoredu will be more meaningful and lasting than anything found in a textbook. His passion mirrors our school district's belief that education must extend beyond the classroom and prepare students for life.
INCubatoredu@FHS embodies key pillars of the Profile of a Billie Graduate, particularly in fostering Civic and Community Involvement and developing Leadership and Social Responsibility. It is a program that challenges students academically and builds the skills, confidence, and character they will carry with them for a lifetime.
At FISD, we are more than public education. We are creating lifelong experiences, building community pride, and shaping the next generation of leaders.
