As parents and educators, we share a common goal: preparing our students to become confident, capable, and successful adults. The Fredericksburg FFA and Agricultural Department is committed to providing students with meaningful experiences that develop leadership, communication, teamwork, responsibility, and career-ready skills that will benefit them long after high school.

For decades, Fredericksburg students have used their involvement in FFA to discover their strengths, develop confidence, and prepare for their futures. FFA is much more than an agricultural organization, and it is not just for students who come from a farm or ranch background. It is an organization for any student who wants to grow as a leader, explore career opportunities, serve the community, compete, and become better prepared for life after high school.

THE FFA EXPERIENCE

• Premier Leadership — communicate effectively, lead others, solve problems, make decisions, and work as a team.

• Personal Growth — develop confidence, responsibility, perseverance, time-management skills, and a strong work ethic.

• Career Success — explore careers, develop technical skills, build professional networks, and gain experiences that prepare students for college and the workforce.

 

The Fredericksburg FFA offers competitive events, leadership activities, livestock projects, community service, public speaking, agricultural science, career exploration, conventions, conferences, and much more. These experiences help students develop communication, leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, responsibility, and perseverance.

Nationally, FFA provides millions of dollars in scholarships each year, while state and local organizations provide additional opportunities. Active members can build a record of leadership, service, accomplishments, and career development that can strengthen college, scholarship, and employment applications.

Our goal is simple: help every student discover their potential and develop the skills necessary to succeed in whatever career path they choose.
